Here's an update and video with some pressure insights. Or pressure delusions.
The top keyboard (first part of video) has Pressure at: 0 and 127. The lower keyboard has Pressure at: 50 and 127. "50" for demonstration purposes only.
You can watch either SWAM Clarinet display: "Dynamic Envelope" at the top of the screen; or, the "Expression" vertical bar indicator toward the right side of the screen just below the Dynamic Envelope.
Notice that when I have the Pressure Min=0 (first part of the video, upper keyboard), the initial softest pressure that activates a note produces a very soft note. And you can see that as I increase pressure, both displays show increasing volume.
When I have the Pressure Min=50 (second part of the video, lower keyboard), the initial softest pressure that activates a note produces a much louder note.
So, I do not think the Pressure Slider actually effects the Pressure sensitivity on the Erae 2. It actually effects the synth initial volume. In this case the SWAM Clarinet volume. In other words, minimum pressure required to trigger a note stays the same on the Erae 2. Volume out on the synth increases.
Pressure variations do work. But wow! More pressure to trigger a note than I expected. And way way more pressure to get to the maximum volume than I expected. Showstopper? I'm not sure yet. This device is astounding! And I don't want to give it up. Maybe quieter is ok? I'm playing solo expressive classical instruments. Not a Vegas strip all-night rave.
If I am doing something incorrectly or I misunderstand something, please let me know. Trust me. This would not be the first time I was wrong (Maybe only the third time ;-)
Thank you everyone for your time and efforts in this.
cheers!

Good morning!
So I've had my Erae 2 for a few days . It's amazing. However, I am having some difficulty with pressure sensitivity.
I started using the Erae 2 with my SWAM cello standalone on my Ipad. I can get pressure sensitivity to work. But it takes much more pressure than I expected. I've seen on YouTube you use a makeup brush and even a ball bearing rolling across the surface to make a sound. I tried my wife's new make up brush and nothing. I need a firm press for even the slightest sound.
To get any of my SWAM instruments to maximum level (as displayed on the SWAM instrument screens) it takes a very heavy press. Which is to say, to get the Erae pressure circle display to go to maximum size takes a big brick pushing level of pressure.
Perhaps, did I get a faulty unit? It happens. I was an engineer. I know.
How do you suggest I test pressure sensitivity? I will try Garage Band next. If you know of any "preloaded" instruments in Garage Band I should try, please let me know. Or some other tests I can try.
Tests so far:
With many SWAM instruments, I've used Roli Seaboard 2, Geoshred, and a few other MPE devices. They all worked as expected. I've also tried playing Erae 2 with several other SWAM instruments. I am familiar with adjusting various sensitivity curves on SWAM instruments for different expressive controls. I just can't get a soft touch to work.
I have installed the latest firmware as of 2/25/26. I am using the preinstalled Erae Layout 3. I have tried moving the Pressure slider in the Erae Lab: Tune Tab (brilliant idea, the Erae Lab!). And I have followed all the directions as given by your AI. (Which I really love! Thank you. I wish all the tech companies I deal with had such a good AI for their products.) My SWAM instruments are all the latest version. As is my iPad pro.
Thank you for all the research and hard work you've done. Erae 2 is brilliant. I am probably just using it wrong. But I need to figure that out with your help. I would hate to have to return it to the supplier Being in the US, I used: Perfect Circuit.
I look forward to hearing from...everyone! (Stretch goal.) And I most especially look forward to being able to use my Erae 2 correctly for many years. Or until you have a new even more amazing Erae 3.
Cheers!

PS. Mercury just went retrograde. Maybe that's it?
