erae2 Arp setting for buttons and notes

Has this been removed , manual states it is available for these elements ,"The Arpeggiator is triggered on all pitched elements (Keygrids, Keyboards, Drumpads, Buttons and Notes) "  but it does not seem to be an option in a layout on my unit , Keygrids, Keyboards, Drumpads will allow for arpeggiator to be used .

I am using with cv out for triggers but would like 8 pads that allow for arp to be used , current limitations would only allow 4.

if a drumpad element could allow individual pads to be routed to seperated cv outputs it would be pretty useful , currently would have to go between a midi to cv converter to extract the individual notemaps to pass the triggers out . ( this is probably what would provide a more flexible solution for some users freeing up cv outs , I will look into the costing of this as a solution for myself too).

Hi Paul,

Thank you for bringing this up and for your detailed feedback.

To clarify, the Arpeggiator feature is currently only available for Keyboard/Keygrid and Drumpad elements.

The mention of Buttons and Notes in the manual is an error, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We’ll make sure this is corrected in future documentation updates.

We’re also aware that the limit of 4 keyboards per layout can be frustrating, especially when trying to maximize the use of CV outputs and triggers.

To address your specific issue, the solution will likely involve either:
 - Adding Arpeggiator functionality to Button & Solo Keys elements, or
 - Removing the 4-keyboard/48-simple-elements limit per layout.

We strongly favor the second option, as it would significantly improve the overall usability of the product (not only for your use case). However, this change requires substantial updates to the underlying code and will take time to implement properly. While we can’t make any promises, we’re aiming to have this feature ready by the end of 2025.

In the meantime, our focus is on stability improvements and bug fixes. We’re planning a minor firmware and Erae Lab release by the end of September with smaller but important updates.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make Erae 2 even better.

Cheers,

Embodme team
