I did not open my Erae II yet but I did open the Mounting Plate box. The Embode Mounting Plate does not screw into the Erae II but sits on it. So you do need the Plate.
I think not screwing into it is great.
The plate looks really well done and has rubber sides to hold the instrument .
hope this helps

I've ordered the Erae II will it attach directly to the
Roland PDS-20 Pad Stand without the need for the Embode Mounting Plate?

Yes you can remove the sticker on top of the holes!
Make sure you use the washers to not screw too tight and damage the PCB inside the product.
Send us pictures/video if needed!

You sent me the screw measurements so I can buy them. I get the idea a number of washers are to be used, please advise how many per screen and between the screw and stand or erae and screw or both. Thanks. Also, just confirming I can peel off what seems to be covering the holes?

Hi Gregg,
You have to screw the black Roland plate (clamped to the Stand on the picture above) to the backplate of the ERAE with 10mm M5 screws !

Also cheaper and very solid, the head can be angled! Gibraltar 6713e stand, ~$99 American!
I just got mine, the Erae 2 mount fits well!
